Jennifer Grant

Jennifer Grant is a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Google and has been the voice behind Google Book Search since its launch in October of 2004. Inspired by the passion of the librarians she has met over the last year, she helped spearhead Google’s Librarian Outreach program which was launched this fall with a newsletter and now reaches more than 20,000 librarians worldwide. Before joining Google, Ms Grant was at Stata Labs (acquired by Stata Labs Yahoo! in 2004), Director of Marketing for Thin Multimedia (a wireless video company), and co-founder of DealMaven (a financial software company). She holds a BA from Princeton and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

“Every day, I read emails from people who have found wonderful books with Google Book Search. One of my favorites is from a man who searched for his family name and found a book containing a picture of his uncle. He hadn’t known the book existed, and after he purchased it, he ended up spending hours with his home-bound father, listening as he recounted the childhood memories that the book inspired. It’s this kind of story that inspires me.”
