Alex Hodges Alex Hodges is Assistant Director of Library Instruction at American University in Washington, D.C. Alex earned his MLS at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he also taught information literacy instruction for the Freshman Writing Program. At AU, Alex has served as instruction coordinator and the education and curriculum materials librarian. He now coordinates university-wide information literacy programming, which reaches more than half of the student body per year. In addition, Alex teaches an education technology graduate course for K-12 pre-service teachers within AU's School of Education, Teaching & Health. He has worked as a staff member in libraries at the University of Florida, the University of Maryland, College Park, the University of Maryland University College, and the National Gallery of Art.
Roshin Mathew Roshin Mathew is completing her MLS at the University of Maryland's iSchool. Roshin has taught user education and information literacy classes for older adults at the New Carrollton branch of the Prince George's County Memorial Library System and for undergraduates in the University of Maryland's Freshman Writing Program. Roshin holds a B.A. in political science from Reed College. She has been honored with the 2007 ALA Spectrum Scholarship, the 2008 District of Columbia Library Association Ruth Fine Memorial Student Loan award, and the University of Maryland College of Information Studies Myra Wilson Scholarship.
Niketha McKenzie Niketha McKenzie is the School Librarian at the Thurgood Marshall Academy, which is a law-themed public charter high school in southeast Washington, DC. Niketha obtained her MLS, focusing on law librarianship, from Clark Atlanta University. Upon completion of her library science degree, Niketha worked as a Cataloging Librarian at Howard University's Law Library. Niketha holds a B.S. in legal studies and plans to attend law school. Her current project at the Academy involves implementing a Library Leadership Program that has been funded successfully through an LSTA grant in collaboration with the DC Public Library.
