Susan Nutter is Vice Provost and Director of Libraries at North Carolina State University and a member of its Council of Deans. Under her leadership the NCSU Libraries’ ranking in the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) Index has risen from 101st to 27th.

Nutter is active on numerous library associations including the Steering Committee and is a founder of NC LIVE — North Carolina Libraries for Virtual Education, a public-private venture that places a virtual library in the reach of every one of North Carolina’s 7.5 million residents. She has served on many boards and is a past President of the Association of Research Librariesp(ARL), and past Chairman of the SOLINET Board of Directors.
