American Board of Medical Specialties Organization of twenty-four approved medical specialty boards that allows you to search for certified specialists. You can search by name, specialty, and location. Registration (free) is required. Includes links to all member boards as well.
American Medical Association Online Docter Finder http://dbapps.ama-assn.org/aps/index.htm Professional association for physicians and medical students that provides listings of almost every licensed physician in the United States. Search for doctors by name or their specialty. Includes information on both MDs (doctors of medicine) and DOs (doctors of osteopathy/osteopathic medicine).
WebMD Physician Directory http://my.webmd.com/pages/dir/toc.asp Search for a physician by name or medical specialty, and distance from your home. You may refine your search to a specific HMO plan or hospital affiliation. NOTE: The Physician Directory does not verify the credentials or qualifications of the physicians listed. It is only a tool to locate quick information about physicians.
