Targeting the Ages: Programming that Hits the Mark

Penny Mandziara

Penny Mandziara started her library career as a circulation clerk at the Bensenville Community Public Library, and received her LTA certification from College of DuPage. Today Penny is the Library/School Liaison for the Bensenville Community Public Library. In addition to her work at the Library, Penny has been an active member of the library world. She has appeared on several Soaring to Excellence programs, is a member of the Rebecca Caudill Young Readers' Book Award Steering Committee, and regularly presents at regional, state, and national conferences.

 

 

Kelly Watson

Kelly Watson received her Masters of Library Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She has been the Reader Services Librarian for the Bensenville Community Public Library in Bensenville, Illinois, since 1999. When not working on creating successful programs like the 52 Books, 52 Weeks program, she manages the Library's website, serves as editor for the intergovernmental community newsletter, and leads a team of librarians and staff in innovative readers' advisory service. Kelly has been an instructor for the Library Technical Assistant program at College of DuPage since 2000. During that time she had the opportunity to teach a class for the staff at the Library of Alexandria in Alexandria, Egypt. In 2008, Kelly was the recipient of DuPage Library System’s Librarian of the Year Award.
