Linda Caputi, EdD, MSN, BSN, CNENursing and Healthcare
Dr. Caputi was awarded a B.S.N. from Northern Illinois University and an M.S.N. from Loyola University. She holds a Doctor of Education in Instructional Technology. She has authored over 25 educational multimedia programs, authored seven nursing education books, produced and developed numerous videotapes, and published book chapters and journal articles. She has presented her work nationally for over 15 years. Her work has won six awards from Sigma Theta Tau, two from American Journal of Nursing Company, and one from The Association for Educational Communication and Technology.
Dr. Caputi was also acknowledged for teaching excellence in the 1998, 2002, and 2005 editions of Who's Who Among America's Teachers. She was named Educator of the Year for 2004 by the National Organization of Associate Degree Nursing. Dr. Caputi has recently served on the National League for Nursing’s Board of Governors. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She was an invited member to the National League for Nursing’s Think Tank on Transformation of Clinical Instruction. She is a Professor of Nursing at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois with over 25 years of teaching experience.
Dr. Caputi is a consultant to all levels of nursing programs in the areas of curriculum, student success, increasing NCLEX pass rates, and effective teaching strategies in the classroom, the nursing laboratory, and clinical.
Dr. Caputi has developed curriculum for Practical Nursing, Associate Degree Nursing, Baccalaureate Nursing, and RN-to-BSN Programs.
Dr. Caputi is the editor of the 2nd edition of: Teaching Nursing: The Art & Science, Volume 1 Teaching Nursing: The Art & Science, Volume 2 Teaching Nursing: The Art & Science, Volume 3
She co-authored Teaching Nursing: The Art & Science, Volume 4
