Linda Caputi, EdD, MSN, BSN, CNE

Nursing and Healthcare

Dr. Caputi was awarded a B.S.N. from Northern Illinois University and an M.S.N. from Loyola University. She holds a Doctor of Education in Instructional Technology. She has authored over 25 educational multimedia programs, authored three nursing education books, produced and developed numerous videotapes, and published book chapters and journal articles. She has presented her work nationally for over 15 years. Her work has won six awards from Sigma Theta Tau, two from American Journal of Nursing Company, and one from The Association for Educational Communication and Technology. The latest award was a Pinnacle Award from Sigma Theta Tau in November, 2005 for the software program PhysWhiz II: Labor and Delivery.

Dr. Caputi was also acknowledged for teaching excellence in the 1998, 2002, and 2005 editions of Who's Who Among America's Teachers. She was named Educator of the Year for 2004 by the National Organization of Associate Degree Nursing. Currently, Dr. Caputi is on the editorial staff for Advance for Nurses, serves on the National League for Nursing’s Research Committee, and is a Professor of Nursing at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.

In 2006, Dr. Caputi was elected to the Board of Governors of the National League for Nursing (NLN) for a 3-year term. For more than 100 years, the NLN has been the leader in advancing excellence at all levels of nursing education throughout the United States.
