Nancy Brent, JD, MS, RN

Ms. Brent has practiced psychiatric/mental health nursing in various clinical settings and has held faculty positions in many three- and four-year undergraduate and graduate nursing programs, including the University of Connecticut, University of Illinois at Chicago (Medical Center), St. Xavier University, and North Park University. Nancy has been a practicing nurse attorney since 1981. Currently, she has a solo law practice representing nurses with various legal problems. She is the author of Nurses and the Law: A Guide to Principles and Applications and Brent’s Law, a regular feature of Nursing Spectrum at www.nursingspectrum.com.
