Ramona Nelson, PhD, MN, MSIS, RN

Dr. Nelson is a professor in the Nursing Department at Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. She teaches courses on introductory and advanced healthcare informatics as well as community health. All of these courses are offered via Web-based distance education. In addition to teaching, Ramona is co-primary investigator and project director for the Pennsylvania Initiative Grant to expand the Slippery Rock University RN-to-BSN program. Ramona also co-directs the Slippery Rock University healthcare informatics program Her current research projects are focused on consumer informatics and assessment in distance education.
