Leonie Sutherland, MSN, RN

Ms. Sutherland is Assistant Professor and Associate Chair for the Department of Nursing at California State University, San Bernardino. As an educator, her trans-cultural nursing interests start with the provision of a classroom environment where diversity is valued. Her work with students has extended to an overseas nursing experience in Honduras, Central America, where students practice both in an acute care setting, and community-based clinics. Her doctoral dissertation focuses on the process of planning care by nursing students, using grounded theory methodology.
