Marilyn Johnston, EdD, MSN, RNNursing and Healthcare
Dr. Johnston is a Professor of Nursing at College of DuPage, where she teaches Medical Surgical Nursing and Community Health. She has been in nursing practice since 1967, and has made an ongoing study and personal practice of complimentary modalities of health care. These include laughter, imagery, touch for health, and Native American concepts of healthy living. She also leads seminars, speaks at conferences, and conducts community nursing workshops focusing on Integrative Healing Modalitites. For the past four years Dr. Johnston has worked with underserved communities.
Marilyn along with Mary Gayle Selfridge has recently authored a new DVD/Booklet for College of DuPage Press on Therapeutic Touch, a healing modality of the heart and hands.
