Mary Gayle Selfridge

Nursing and Healthcare

 


Dr. Mary Gayle Floden-Selfridge is a mother of 3 and grandmother of 5, and considers this her greatest achievement. She is also a Wellness Therapist and has practices in both, Glen Ellyn, IL and Sarasota, FL.  Retired in 1998 from the College of DuPage as a full time Professor of Nursing she continues teaching there as an adjunct Professor as well as at the State College of Florida.


Her private practice focuses on individuals facing life threatening illnesses and life transitions, and utilizes art and poetry as healing tools. She has had her poetry and art published in Seeding the Snow and other publications, and has a chapter in Teaching and Joy. Dr. Selfridge has taught Therapeutic Touch in Greece, England, and Puerto Rico as well as at many conferences and conventions in the United States.


She taught nursing at the Oglala College on the Pine Ridge reservation and embraces Native American Spirituality. She is a Holistic nurse and therapist and encourages healing of Body, Mind and Spirit. She has been practicing holistic health for over 3 decades.
